Native Intelligence is on the verge of “overnight” success because he has worked his whole life for this moment. Saturated for almost two decades in the local SF and international club scene, Native Intelligence aka Duane Kenneth Williams is no stranger to the ins and outs of the electronic dance business and what type of drive, creativity and patience it takes to succeed in creating/marketing music production and furiously rocking the dance floor.
Duane has toured throughout many parts of the world and has had the pleasure of warming up the decks AND playing peak time spotlight hours in venues alongside amazing talent such as Kaskade, Steve Lawler, Louie Vega, Hernan Cattaneo, DJ Heather, Miguel Migs, Seb Fontane, Evil Eddie Richards, Omid 16B, Misstress Barbara, Mark Farina, Freaky Chakra, Ursula 3000, Marques Wyatt, DJ Fame, DJ Fluid aka Chris Smith, Fred Everything, Charles Feelgood, Mark Lewis, DJ Rap, Michael Anthony, Ace Tatsu, B. Smiley, David Harness, Dean Samaras and Ben Seagren, Alain Octavo, S.I.M.O, Homero Espinosa, Worthy, M3, Eric Sharp, Rick Preston, DJ Seven, Bass Cadet, DJ Mes, Alland Byallo, George Cochrane, Andrew Phelan and many other SF and Bay Area local heroes.
In 2006 Native was honored to be made a part of Rock It Science, a dj collective/event production company started by the talented Eric Sharp. Native is excited about the launch of the Rock It Science Laboratories label as this has released his current, original tracks and remixes to the world. RISL just yeilded two strong EP efforts by Native Intelligence, one including production partner S.I.M.O. of Sleevin Records. Look for PeakTime #2 release and TearOut #4 release with epic deep house disco, tech house, minimal and dubstep remixes by local and internationally known artists…(DZ, Sunshine Jones, Evil Eddie Richards, and DJ Fame to name a few).
Native Intelligence’s first Beatport EP release through Headset Recordings got exceptional reviews and play support by house legends’ DJ Sneak, Tony Humphries, Nick Holder, Justin Harris, Slater Hogan and was rated # 5 on Giom’s (Om, Amenti, UK) top ten tracks on Resident Advisor and # 1 on the Damn Noisy charts. Before the track was even released it was played on the international radio waves in Ireland for 5 weeks straight. “R U Westside”, featuring an epic remix by Jake Childs, is only the first of many unique Native Intelligence tracks backed by Headset.
Lastly, but certainly not least, Native has an eclectic down tempo album on i-tunes called “Moving Windows” which got some lucrative licensing love by European video game companies. Co-produced with Navarro, the second album “Preparations for the Unknown” is due out in 2011 on the Late Night Sneakin label.
Currently Native Intelligence is busy in the studio and shopping his latest club pouncing creations to prestigious labels across the globe.
