The dudes are very talented producers as well as DJs, rocking crowds across the globe and putting work out on labels like Om Records, Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak and Green Velvet’s Cajual just to name a few.

When this remix of Mr. V, one of NYC’s legendary hip-house producers, popped up on our radar we were definitely curious. Immediately on listening we had to post this up; it’s big room techy bliss and it will slam your speakers!

FIRE HOUSE ONE
Various Artists

The first release from Tommie Sunshine’s new imprint Brooklyn Fire comes Fire House One – a collection of Brooklyn Fire residents and some-time collaborators hand picked by Sunshine himself.

This is a statement as well as a collection gathered with care from the wealth of musical talent budding up all over the world:

Jon Kennedy drags us through Dutch House by way of Chi-town. Figure shows us how UK Bassline sounds coming from Middle America. Dan Aux from New Zealand does big room Dutch the Kiwi way. Eric Sharp & Bass Cadet parade through how San Francisco plays House. TJR is the East Coast collision of Fidget & Acid. Australia’s R!M!E does Favela Dutch to the extreme And a cinematic end of the nighter from Northern Ireland’s Screendeath rounds out this eclectic package.

Up next for the Brooklyn Fire is Fire House Two, another collection of tracks showing the spectrum and musical landscape of this new label.

We have here for you today a remix of J-Wow’s two originals “Spark” the A-side and “Fogo” on the B which came out on October 19th through Enchufada. Canblaster, a French DJ, melded these two songs together producing acid house synths, strict 808 snare thwacks and muscular clenches of dubstep bass resulting in five-minutes of dancing-your-heart-out.

J-Wow, whose given name is Joao, is a DJ/producer who is in a band Buraka Som Sistema and has recently launched a solo career. Buraka Som Sistema’s music is a fusion of Angolan Kuduro music played in Lisbon clubs with 21st century electronics. BSS has collaborated with the likes of MIA and had very successful world tours. This Saturday J-Wow along with DJ Craze and Trackademicks will be working the floor and getting the crowd crazy at Public Works in San Francisco. Come and get in on the action. Grab your tickets on the Events page.

We are celebrating our fourth release by giving away 2 tracks and throwing a release party here in SF. Click the image for details on the release event, and grab the free downloads below. Rock It!

RIS004: S.I.M.O & NATIVE INTELLIGENCE – TEAR OUT

with remixes by Chris James, Evil Eddie Richards, Bit Crushers, The Flying Skulls, S.I.M.O. & Native Intelligence Remix feat Chris Klein

ABOUT THE RELEASE:
The latest drop on the hot new label Rock It Science Laboratories, created and run by Eric Sharp and DJ Fame, is a masterpiece from S.I.M.O. & Native Intelligence complete with genre-busting remixes including veteran of the UK tech scene Evil Eddie Richards, Dubnoir’s Chris James, NYC’s Bit Crushers and Dubstep phenoms The Flying Skulls. As always these tracks launch your listening experience into the 4th dimension. Coincidentally this is our 4th E.P., which blasts the listener to the outer reaches of the space-time continuum. Anti gravitational boots and space suit sold separately.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
Owner and operator of the independent label Sleevin’ Records, S.I.M.O. has quickly made a mark as an acid & breaks producer and a DJ, with his latest album “Bridging The Void” bringing accolades across a wide spectrum of dance music aficionados. Native Intelligence is on the verge of overnight success because he has worked his whole life for this moment; his first Rock It Science EP “Peak Time” got exceptional reviews in Chicago’s 5 magazine and Italy’s Wicked Style blog and dance floor support by legends like Doc Martin, Reid Speed, Charles Feelgood and Terry Mullan to name a few.

For those of you in or near our present headquarters in SF we have a major treat for you this Friday night! In celebration of our latest offering “Thunder Cats” by Eric Sharp & Bass Cadet, we are bringing the original artists as well as every remixer (with the exception of Sick Boy, who will join us in spirit from his home in Amsterdam) to our weekly party at Temple Nightclub. DJ Fame flies out from New York City, along with local support engineer extraordinaire Homero Espinosa of YBD Studios and Dubstep don Mycho Pan Cocoa of Mal Label Music. If you can make it holler and get on the free before 12, $10 after guest list: send names to contact@rislabs.com

Thunder Cats has turned a lot of heads since first appearing in White Girl Lust’s XLR8R Podcast and then being the kickoff track for Tommie Sunshine’s spring mix. It is now receiving dance floor support worldwide, making people wobble, shake it, drop it, and take it. Don’t fret if you can’t be here in person; the Main Room will be broadcast on Awdio for your listening pleasure from 10:30 PM – 3:30 AM PST on Friday night.

Ft Remixes by:
SUNSHINE JONES, DZ, CASEY DC, and S.I.M.O. & NATIVE INTELLIGENCE

Peak Time – the second explosive EP off the Rock It Science Laboratories label – is not just a unique and well rounded package, it’s a state of mind. It’s that moment when the dance floor is reaching it’s energetic climax, the DJ has built up the vibe, and everyone is completely in sync with that amazing feeling that you only get when you are connected to that higher source, really feeling the vibration and losing track of time.

Native Intelligence, known for writing great lyrics and attaching them to pounding original tracks, has belted out a true dance floor classic with his first release on Rock It Science Laboratories. Immediately launching you into the outer space regions of his musical mind, Native takes you on a gliding journey where the key pads sparkle like stars and bass warps like galaxies spiralling. Sunshine Jones, founding member of the pioneering Dubtribe Soundsystem and producer of classics such as Do It Now, Mother Earth, and many more brings in the light with his mature Extended Disco Remix creating a happier and joyous version of the intensely wobbling original. DZ ravishes our ears on the other end of planet Peak Time. This man on fire with recent remixes on Fool’s Gold, Mad Decent, and many more as well a a slew of original works on his Badman Press label drops yet another dubstep ripper. CaseyDC comes correct with his Purple Hills remix. Bouncy and thick, this mix is reminiscent of the Dirtybird sound we’ve come to know and love. S.I.M.O. & Native Intelligence bring a fierce and darker version of Peak Time compared to the original.
